Matcha Tea Porridge Bowl

I love making oatmeal for breakfast; it is the perfect way to start any day. You can’t go wrong with a hearty bowl of oatmeal as you can play around with your favourite toppings. Oatmeal doesn’t have to be boring; you can top your bowl with fun toppings and enjoy a special bowl of oatmeal every single morning :-)
Servings 2, preparation time: 10 minutes
Ingredients:
½ cup oats (I used organic and gluten-free)
1 tsp. of Matcha powder tea +1 tbsp. of warm water
½ cup milk almond, coconut or oatmeal is the best
1 tbsp. of chia seeds
½ tsp. of coconut oil
Toppings:
2 tbsp. of shredded coconut
2 handfuls of blueberries
Approx.14 pecan halves
2 fresh figs, sliced
Preparation:
In a small saucer add Matcha powder and 1 tablespoon of warm water first and gently whisk together making sure no lumps remain. Then, in a pot, warm up plant-based milk, stir and add oats.
Reduce the heat and stir until the mixture thickens.
Take it off the heat, add Matcha tea, chia, and coconut oil and stir well.
Transfer to your bowls.
Top with fruits, pecans, and shredded coconut.
