Are you experiencing any of the following food intolerance symptoms?

  • Gastrointestinal: IBS, bloating, abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, diarrhea

  • Respiratory: asthma, sinusitis, rhinitis

  • Neurological: migraine, headaches, ME (Chronic fatigue syndrome), fullness in the ears, ear-popping

  • Dermatological: eczema, acne, psoriasis, itching, rashes, hives, redness, swelling

  • Musculoskeletal: arthritis, joint aches & pains, stiffness, swelling

  • Psychological: depression, anxiety, stress-related disorders, behavioral problems, disorganization or disturbance

  • Others: lethargy, a general feeling of malaise, inability to lose weight

Do you know that diet and gut health affects mental health symptoms such as stress-related disorders, depression and anxiety?

Do you know that personalised IgG-guided elimination diet can help shift the gut microbiota, reduce the activation of the immune system and associated inflammatory responses, and aid weight loss?

It is important to note that food intolerance is different from food allergies.

  • Food intolerance (non-IgE mediated food hypersensitivity) refers to difficulty in digesting certain foods and generally takes longer to appear, compared to food allergies. Some food intolerance might be caused by the lack of a specific enzyme

  • Food allergy causes an immune system reaction and refers to immediate-onset reactions (mediated via IgE antibodies) which can be life-threatening.

Diagnosis of food intolerance involves the determination of specific antibodies in the IgG class against specific food products. These products are collected in “panels”, which means that many food products are tested at one time. The larger the panel is , the more comprehensive examination.

Immunoglobulin (IgG) is a type of antibody. Antibodies are major components of the immune system.

Measurement of food-specific IgG (1-4) antibodies are used to identify foods to which a person may be sensitive.

When foods and drinks are digested the proteins within them are broken down into smaller fragments for easy absorption into the body.

Larger fragments can pass through without breaking down (when food particles are not properly digested or if you have an intestinal permeability called “leaky gut”).

Then your body reacts by attacking them using antibodies called Immunoglobulin G’s (IgG).
